< ABOUT THE ARTENERO WEBSITE

AUTHOR INFORMATION

Though I have formal qualifications in both fine art and craft engineering, the simplest way of providing relevant information about myself is to list of some of the projects I have been involved in over the last twenty five years or so.

The majority of my career has been spent working as a sub-contractor either to art foundries, specialist fabricators or else for my own related business. In only a few cases have I been retained directly by an individual artist or designer. My involvement in the projects listed below has ranged from that of being one of many technicians, through to having overall responsibility for everything from costing to installation (with all shades between). Almost all of these projects will have involved the skills and input of a number of individuals, as well as the artist themselves. Much of what is described in the artenero website has been learnt from those often exceptional people.

I have not kept an especially comprehensive or accurate record of what sculptures I have worked on and when and he list given here is selective, though representative — containing a range of cast and fabricated sculptures/design projects, constructed in a variety of materials. Where possible I have confirmed titles of works and original installation locations etc. Despite this, some sculptures at the time of construction were given a working name that may differ from the official title of the installed artwork.
